Blind Spot Anniversary Edition

Last Thursday and Friday, we held the Blind Spot sessions for the 20th year for all 3rd and 5th-grade students from all schools in Lanaken, in collaboration with the Red Cross Lanaken. A total of 8,023 students have attended these sessions. For this anniversary edition, a special safety day was organized on Friday for the 5th-grade students.

Not only were the theoretical and practical lessons on the blind spot conducted, but an accident with a cyclist was also simulated, and fire, police, and ambulance services were present. The children were taught what happens after an accident, how to call the emergency number 112, and what these services do. They also had the opportunity to apply bandages, learn CPR, and much more. Under a bright sun, we were able to conclude this 20th edition with all the staff and, of course, the children.

You can view the photo report here. Local Radio Lanaken (LRL) was also present and created a beautiful video report.
