Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment
At GOBO, safety and quality are at the heart of everything we do!
With a delivery reliability of 99.6%, we exceed the industry standard in the transport sector. This success is largely due to our direct communication lines between customers and drivers.
Our employees participate in weekly training based on the Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) principle, provided by our GOBO Academy. Our three in-house certified instructors deliver customized modules for Code 95.
Our instructors, ADR safety advisor, and prevention advisor use automated checklists, updated annually, and conduct multiple safety inspections each year, both at our own sites and various loading and unloading locations. By working with in-house instructors, we can specifically address the unique needs of our clients and our company.
In 2011, GOBO became the first Belgian company to receive the "Lean & Green" award in the Netherlands. In 2015, GOBO received an honorable mention for the Truckveilig label. We have mirror adjustment stations, and each year we organize a "Safe on the Road" training in collaboration with the Lanaken Youth Red Cross for 500 primary school students from Lanaken to prevent blind spot accidents.
In 2021, GOBO won the Safety Award, recognizing the best efforts of a truck fleet in road safety. As a family-owned company, GOBO may not be known for flashy stunts, but safety has always been a core priority, shared from the top down to the drivers. This consistency convinced the jury to award GOBO the Truck Safety Award. Our implemented procedures go well beyond legal requirements, particularly in training, but it’s the attention given to our drivers that truly stands out. This emphasizes the family nature of a company where workplace well-being is more than just a slogan. This policy has clearly paid off, as accident rates continue to decline and staff turnover remains very low.
In 2024, GOBO was nominated for the prestigious 'Logistics Project of the Year' award, earning a solid third place. The project involved implementing the Indoor Positioning System by Blooloc (YouBeeEye), achieving significant improvements in safety and efficiency.
For 15 consecutive years, GOBO has achieved impressive scores in SQAS audits. The latest audit was conducted in early 2026, yielding the following results: 94% for Transport Services, 98% for Warehouse activities, and 98% for Tank Cleaning, categorizing GOBO as "Best in Class."
Company Policy
GOBO is committed to a policy where safety, health, environment, and quality are central to all operations. We strive for maximum quality, efficiency, and productivity at both the individual and organizational levels. Our priority is that all employees return home safely and healthily at the end of each workday, with respect for everyone’s privacy.
This requires optimal functioning from all individuals and departments within GOBO. To ensure this, we have implemented an SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) management system, with associated objectives and KPIs to enable continuous measurement and adjustments. GOBO’s corporate philosophy is founded on four core values to create a high-quality, safe, and healthy working environment and to ensure the satisfaction of all stakeholders:
- Quality & Safety
- Professionalism
- Respect for the environment, people, and community
- Continuous improvement
CSR-principles

Therefore, we have established a set of ethical and behavioral codes in the form of a charter. All GOBO employees, including all stakeholders, are committed to adhering to legal regulations, ethical integrity, and fairness at all times.
Our activities are conducted transparently, fairly, in good faith, and in full compliance with regulations. All GOBO employees, without any distinction or exception, are required to respect the charter in their actions and behaviors, in fulfilling their roles, and in accordance with their responsibilities.
