GOBO acquires Cargofoor Maastricht!
GOBO Group acquires its colleague Cargofoor in Maastricht as of April 1st. This is the second acquisition GOBO has made in Maastricht in a short period of time.
With the acquisition of Cargofoor, we immediately gain 20 employees, the same number of trucks, and 24 tank trailers. Cargofoor is being handed over by the three Maassen brothers. "We had no successors to ensure the continuation of our business," say Guy, Naud, and Marc Maassen. "With GOBO, we have found a reliable partner." The three brothers will remain on standby for a while to ensure a smooth transition.
For us, the acquisition is a great opportunity to expand our range of services with tank transport to and from the Balkan countries. And that's what Cargofoor is known for! We have been active in bulk liquid transport for many years. With our 70 tank trailers, we already cross Europe, but as a group, we are always looking for further expansion. Since Cargofoor is known for tank transport to and from the Balkan countries, this was definitely an opportunity for us.
We warmly welcome the employees of Cargofoor into the GOBO family!
Through this acquisition, we now grow to 260 employees, resulting in an annual turnover of 42 million euros.
We are not only active in tank transport but also in the transportation of general cargo (Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland) and specialize in the transportation of pharmaceutical products.
We currently have 43,000 m² of warehouse space in Lanaken and 5,000 m² in Maastricht. With locations in Lanaken (B), Maastricht (NL), Selfkant (D), Herzogenrath (D), Senec (SK), and Ploiesti (RO), after the acquisition, we will have a fleet of 150 trucks, 90 tank trailers, and 170 tautliners.
